Radon Testing in Washington DC
Need a radon test in Washington DC? RADON & CO provides fast, NRPP-certified 48-hour radon testing for homeowners, real estate transactions, rentals, property managers, and commercial projects.
Radon testing for DC's rowhome-heavy housing stock
Washington DC's housing stock is dominated by attached rowhomes, many built in the early-to-mid 20th century with English basements — partially below-grade lower units that are sometimes a separate rental unit and sometimes part of the main house. That layout matters for radon testing: an English basement is exactly the kind of ground-contact, lowest-livable-level space where a monitor typically goes, whether it's used as a family room, a home office, or a rented unit.
RADON & CO provides project-based radon testing in DC for homeowners, real estate transactions, rental units, and commercial properties, using the same NRPP protocol and minimum 48-hour closed-house test we run throughout Montgomery County. Because DC is outside our home county, availability depends on scheduling and distance — contact us to confirm coverage for your specific address before booking.
Pricing
Radon testing is $175 in North DC (upper NW/NE, including Chevy Chase DC, Tenleytown, and Cleveland Park) and $200 in South DC (downtown, Capitol Hill, SW, SE, and Anacostia) — the difference reflects the added drive time from our Montgomery County base. See full pricing by area.
